Policy

In line with current medical opinion, Night Nannies will only start guiding babies to sleep through the night once they are on solids, which is normally from about 5-6 months old. Up until that time babies will need to feed at 3 or 4 hourly intervals, although from age 3 months a baby may naturally start going a little longer between feeds.

All Night Nannies will follow the latest Department of Health and FSID guidelines. For instance, to prevent cot death babies are advised to sleep on their backs. ‘It’s our Policy to insist that babies are placed on their backs with their feet at the foot of the cot in accordance with the latest guidance and advice.’
